This notice applies to salttotaste.design and all project pages hosted under it. We do not use visitor analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. Optional external media is explained below.

When you visit
The website is hosted by Render Services, Inc. and delivered through its content delivery network. Technical connection data, including your IP address, the time of a request, the page or file requested and browser information, is processed to deliver and protect the website. We do not maintain our own visitor database or access logs.
The legal basis is our legitimate interest in providing a secure website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Render’s processing terms include its Data Processing Addendum under Art. 28 GDPR. Its infrastructure and service providers may process data outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. The addendum describes the applicable international-transfer safeguards, including standard contractual clauses.
Render determines retention of its operational and security data according to the purposes of processing and applicable legal requirements; we do not control that retention period. See Render’s privacy policy for its own processing.
No cookies, no tracking
Our website sets no cookies or browser-storage identifiers. Fonts, images, films and interactive software are served with the website. Your browser may cache these files. The optional YouTube player described below is the exception to local delivery.
Some of our pages link to other websites, such as our clients’ sites and Instagram. These are plain links: nothing is sent to those sites unless you click one. Once you are there, their own privacy policy applies.
Optional camera controls
The Bian Lian project can use your camera with your permission to detect hand movements. Video frames and hand landmarks are processed on your device. We do not receive, record or store them, and audio is not requested. You can stop the camera at any time or use pointer and button controls instead. No camera access occurs before you enable it and grant browser permission.
Optional YouTube video
The Bian Lian project includes a reference performance from YouTube. The player is not loaded until you choose to load it. That action allows a connection to YouTube, operated in the EEA by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. YouTube receives technical data such as your IP address and browser information and may use cookies or similar storage when you interact with the player. Data may also be processed in the United States.
Loading this external content is based on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and, where applicable, § 25(1) TDDDG). You can end further player connections by reloading or leaving the page; this does not undo processing already carried out. See Google’s privacy policy for retention, transfer safeguards and account settings. You can use the rest of the project without loading the video.
When you email us
If you write to us, we keep your email address and your message to answer you and, if we work together, to plan and do the work. Our email provider handles the messages on our behalf. We delete them once they are no longer needed, unless tax or commercial law requires us to keep them for longer.
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR for anything about a project, and otherwise our legitimate interest in replying (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Your rights
Where the legal requirements apply, you can ask us what data we hold about you, and have it corrected, deleted, restricted or handed to you in a portable format (Art. 15 to 20 GDPR). Where you have given consent, you can withdraw it at any time for the future. An email is all it takes.
You can also complain to a data protection authority. The one responsible for us is the Bayerisches Landesamt für Datenschutzaufsicht (BayLDA), Promenade 18, 91522 Ansbach, Germany.
We make no decisions about you by automated means, and we do no profiling.
Your right to object
Where we rely on our legitimate interest, you can object to our use of your data at any time, for reasons that come from your particular situation (Art. 21 GDPR).
